Statement:

“Ominous Ikon Series #69 is the latest in this sequence begun almost 50 years ago. One doesn’t usually combine two words, “Ikon” and “Ominous,” as descriptions of a symbol. A symbol, a paradox, are the mix of the materials. Aside from the aesthetics of this work, it follows a social responsibility of analyzing international ballistic missiles, our Achilles heel, and the futility of war. Art is the antithesis of war. ”
